Ottawa Valley Titans Minor Midgets win Dale Parker Memorial tournament in Brantford
The Ottawa Valley Titans Minor Midgets won the Dale Parker Memorial tournament in Brantford this past weekend. They are the first Minor Midget team from outside the GTHL to win an Ontario tournament.
In the round robin, OVT won 8-2 against Jimmy Johns, 5-2 against the Lambton Jr Sting, lost 3-0 to the Richmond Hill Coyotes, beat the Cambridge Hawks 11-1, then redeemed themselves against the Coyotes with a 6-1 win. They then defeated the Kitchener Jr Rangers 2-0 in the semis, and went on to a 7-4 victory against the Sudbury Wolves.
The team also ran into Canada's best known Hockey Dad, Walter Gretzky, and took the time to get a Championship picture with the Great One!
Congratulations to the team, coaching staff, association, parents, and volunteers!
