WENINGER RETURNS TO PGD HOCKEY
Matt Weninger returns to PGD Hockey after spending the winter of 2014-2015 Sudbury as the Director of Goaltending for RHP Training Center and the Goalie Coach for Laurentian University (CIS). Prior to this Matt was the Regional Manager of PGD in Lethbridge from 2011-2014.
Matt Weninger returns to PGD Hockey after spending the winter of 2014-2015 Sudbury as the Director of Goaltending for RHP Training Center and the Goalie Coach for Laurentian University (CIS). Prior to this Matt was the General Manager of PGD in Lethbridge from 2011-2014.
Matt grew up in Lethbridge playing throughout the Lethbridge Minor Hockey system until spending three seasons with the Kindersley Klippers and Flin Flon Bombers of the SJHL. He was an SJHL All-Star who finished as the SJHL leader in career shutouts and most consecutive shutouts.
After playing in the SJHL Matt received an NCAA Division I scholarship to St. Lawrence University where he holds career and single season records for games played, consecutive games played, minutes played, saves and is second all-time in wins and shutouts.
Matt has gained immense knowledge of Junior, CIS and NCAA hockey throughout his playing and coaching career. He will operate out of Regina, Saskatchewan and Lethbridge, Alberta.
