2011 Tournament Teams

 

2011 Fall Classic – 45+ Wood Central – Jupiter Florida

Glenn Mayfield played for the Triad Panthers in the MSBL Fall Classic in November. Glenn went 1-1 in two starts totaling 16 1/3 innings pitched. The Triad lost in the first round of the playoffs finishing with a 4-2 overall record..

2011 Fall Classic – 35+ Wood American – Jupiter Florida

Glenn Mayfield played for the Boone County Braves in the 2011 Fall Classic. The Braves were seeded first in the playoffs after finishing 3-1 in the Round Robin. After getting a bye in the first round of the playoffs the Braves lost in the second round to the Dade Tigers 6-2. The Braves finished with an overall record of 3-2.

2011 Fall Classic – 45+ Wood American – Jupiter Florida

Jason Hayes and Kevin Olds played for the Atlanta Red Sox in the 2011 Fall Classic. The Red Sox finished 4-1 in the Round Robin and lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Suncoast Suns.

2011 World Series – 60+ Wood American – Arizona

Bob Gates competed in the 60+ Wood Central for the Wranglers. The first year team didn't win a game, but playing baseball after you are 60 is still a lot of fun.

2011 Rocket City Classic – 45+ Wood Bat – Huntsville Alabama

The Mid South Pirates competed in the Rocket City Classic Labor Day Weekend and went 1-2 in round robin play before rain washed out the remainder of the tournament. Local players on the Pirates were Kent Hardin, Paul Tingley, Billy Hellums, David Emerling, Scott Walker, Mike Stephenson, Scott Murry and Glenn Mayfield.

2011 Bama Bash – 35+ Wood Bat – Birmingham Alabama

The Boone County Pirates competed in the Bama Bash in May 2011 and went through round robin play with a 3-0 record. The Pirates played the Chicago Giants in the semi finals and lost 6-5. The Pirates previously played in this tournament as the Mid South Blues and were the 2007 and 2008 champions as well as the 2009 and 2010 co-champions. Local players on the Pirates were Charles Worthington and Glenn Mayfield.
