Oil Can Boyd to throw out first pitch on Opening Night
Keene, NH – Former Red Sox great, Dennis Ray “Oil Can” Boyd, will throw
out the ceremonial first pitch to jump start the Keene Swamp Bats 2010
New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) season against the Lowell
All-Americans on Friday, June 4 at Alumni Field
Oil Can Boyd will also be signing autographs from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
at Alumni Field for all fans in attendance.
As a Red Sox, Boyd compiled a 60-56 record with a 4.15 earned run
average. In 1986, Boyd won a career-high 16 games for Boston making 30
starts while registering a 3.78 earned run average. During that season,
Boyd struck out 129 batters and a 1.246 whip.
Admission for all Swamp Bats games at Alumni Field is $4.00 for adults
with children 10-and-under admitted for free. Season ticket packages are
also available starting at $50.00.
