Vermont Mountaineers vs Keene SwampBats

Keene, NH – There was a heavy display of power at Alumni Field on Friday night as the Keene SwampBats crushed six home runs on their way to a win over the Sanford Mainers. The SwampBats saw home runs from Joe Jaconski (Penn State), Ripken Reese (Kent State), Alex Calarco (Maryland) and Jake Koonin (Princeton). Meanwhile, Sanford also saw two home runs off the bats of Sam Angelo (UNC) and Beau Root (UConn), but that was not enough as the SwampBats ran away with the win, 16–9.

The two teams play each other again on Saturday, this time in Sanford at 6:30 P.M.

 

Newport Gulls vs Upper Valley Nighthawks

Hartford, VT – The Newport Gulls made the long trip up to Maxfield Sports Complex and did not disappoint as they grabbed their fourth straight win, defeating the Upper Valley Nighthawks on Friday. Luke Orbon (St. John’s) and Matt Ossenfort (Vanderbilt) drove in two runs apiece for the Gulls as they went on to defeat the Nighthawks, 8–4.

Up next, Newport travels to Ocean State on Saturday at 6:30 P.M., while Upper Valley makes the short trip to Vermont Saturday at 6:30 P.M.

 

Danbury Westerners vs Ocean State Waves

South Kingstown, RI – Today’s game between the Danbury Westerners and Ocean State Waves at Old Mountain Park has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for June 24th at 6:30 P.M. The Westerners host the Blues Saturday at 6:30 P.M. while the Waves host the Gulls Saturday at 6:30 P.M.

 

Mystic Schooners vs Bristol Blues

Bristol, CT – Today’s game between the Mystic Schooners and the Bristol Blues at Muzzy Field has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for July 7th at 5:00 P.M. The Schooners travel to the Vineyard on Saturday to face the Sharks at 6:30 P.M. while the Blues face the Westerners in Danbury at 6:30 P.M.

 

North Shore Navigators vs Valley Blue Sox

Holyoke, MA – Today’s game between the North Shore Navigators and Valley Blue Sox at Mackenzie Stadium has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game has no makeup date at this time. The Navigators host the SteepleCats Saturday at 5:05 P.M. while the Blue Sox play next at Bristol on Sunday at 5:00 P.M.

 

Martha’s Vineyard Sharks vs North Adams SteepleCats

North Adams, MA - Today’s game between the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks and the North Adams SteepleCats at Joe Wolfe Field has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for July 8th at 4:30 P.M. The Sharks host the Schooners on Saturday at 6:30 P.M. while the SteepleCats are at North Shore to face the Navigators Saturday at 5:05 P.M.
