HNO Names Bryan Graham Director of Officiating
THUNDER BAY, Ontario – Hockey Northwestern Ontario is excited to announce Bryan Graham as the new Director of Officiating for HNO.
As the Director of Officiating, Graham will work with HNO Membership and Officials to ensure things run smoothly for the membership. He will also help train and develop current officials and recruit new officials in Northwestern Ontario.
Bryan brings with him over 40 years of officiating experience throughout amateur and professional hockey, including officiating in the Allan Cup, the United States Hockey League (USHL), and the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) as well as working for the ECHL as Vice President of Hockey Operations and Director of Officiating. Most recently, he spent the past six seasons as Commissioner of the Superior International Junior Hockey League. Bryan has experience in managing an officiating staff as well as experience in the training, supervision and game video analysis for teaching and evaluation purposes.
When asked what his thoughts on the new position were, Bryan said: “I am extremely grateful to be working with Hockey Northwestern Ontario and all of the officials in the branch as Director of Officiating. I’m excited to be able to use my experience to assist in the officiating program. My goal is to create a consistent approach with the development and training of our officials through all levels of hockey in HNO with a real emphasis on getting new officials involved in the Hockey Canada officiating program. I am looking forward to the challenge and especially looking forward to working with all of the dedicated officials in Hockey Northwestern Ontario.”
With over 40 years of experience and familiarity with Northwestern Ontario at all levels of hockey, Bryan Graham will certainly be an asset to Hockey Northwestern Ontario as the Director of Officiating.
