SANFORD – It may only be January, but if you close your eyes and click your heels (or cleats) a few times, baseball season will be here before you know it.

The New England Collegiate Baseball League released the 2018 season schedule on Monday and for the Sanford Mainers, Opening Day is set for Wednesday, June 6.

The schedule consists of 44 games, with 22 being played at home at Goodall Park. All home games are scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. game start.

In preparation for the season, the roster has been built, and game-day activities are being determined to help your time at the ballpark be a fun, safe and enjoyable time. Season tickets are still on sale and can be purchased online or by visiting the Mainers office at 883 Main St., Suite 3 in Sanford. If the office is closed, the friendly staff at Get Fired Up next door to the office can assist you.
