Founded in 2016, Long Island City ICE is New York City’s newest skating facility, offering a wide-range of services from elite personalized and team-focused hockey training, to introductory skating lessons and private rentals.

Whether you are new to skating, or looking to take the next step in your hockey career, LIC ICE’s trainers will provide unmatched expertise suitable for all ages and skill levels. Our focus is providing programs that teach the fundamentals of skating, hockey skills, increase fitness and stress injury prevention.

LIC ICE boasts a group of talented, experienced and certified hockey coaches and trainers, dedicated to developing hockey players, enhancing on-ice skill sets and improving overall athleticism through up-tempo regimens and personal instruction.

Current and former NHL players – including Stanley Cup champions Miroslav Satan and Marian Hossa, former New York Islanders defensemen Lubomir Visnovsky and Milan Jurcina, Edmonton Oilers defenseman Andrej Sekera, Chicago Blackhawks forward Tomas Fleischmann, New York Rangers forward Marek Hrivik and Islanders goaltender Jaroslav Halak – will be participating in future LIC ICE programs.

LIC ICE’s training isn’t just limited to activities on the ice. Dryland training is one of the focal points of LIC ICE’s elite hockey training, increasing athletes’ strength, conditioning and overall athleticism. We value off-ice training as a means to further hockey careers and overall fitness. Our dryland training also focuses on injury prevention, by teaching proper technique, as well as safety and stretching.

Classes and clinics are kept small, ensuring a balance between personal instruction, as well as adequate recovery time between reps, with the chance to meet new friends. One-on-one training and skating lessons are also available. 

As New York City’s newest hockey and skating training facility, LIC ICE is a great resource for teams looking for supplemental ice and elite, year-round training. Our training facility and ice are available to rent for some of the most affordable prices in New York City.

LIC ICE’s programs aren’t just limited to aspiring hockey players. Our programs are open to men and women, boys and girls and anyone with a desire to learn how to skate. Prepare for a skating date or a corporate outing by learning to skate with a certified instructor in a supportive environment.

LIC ICE’s location is unique, with lots to offer in nearby Hunter’s Point. LIC ICE is two blocks from Long Island City’s beautiful waterfront and is situated in a bustling neighborhood with restaurants, bars and coffee shops. After a skate, or a hockey clinic, take a walk to the historic Pepsi-Cola sign overlooking the East River, facing midtown Manhattan.

Situated blocks away from the E, G and 7 trains, LIC ICE is conveniently located one subway stop outside of Manhattan, making it easily accessible even without a car.

LIC ICE is available for rent as well. Our rink and off-ice training center are available for corporate events and private rentals.
