My Carlisle CHILL peewee team played the Hamilton Steelcats team last night at Gateway 6:15 pm. Just wanted to make sure I let you know the refs we had out last night were fantastic. I caught one guy name, Jimmy Culp (I believe) but did not find his partner's name. They were on top of every offside, goal, etc., and calling penalties that were deserved. They called five penalties on us and seven on Steelcats, and they had complete control of the game – at one point it started to get chippy and tempers both sides were flaring and they sent a kid from both sides to the box and squashed it quick. Just a great job by them overall.
I’m sure you hear about a lot of negative so I just wanted to make sure I let you all know as it was a topic of discussion amongst my coaches after the game and we all agreed they did a great job. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Thank you for a great tournament. Yeah, it’s nice when you win but as I had mentioned before the teams were evenly matched and the tournament was well organized. I know how much work it is to run one team so I can only imagine how much work (probably thankless at times) it is to host 12 teams for a tournament & my guess is that much of the work falls on you. As a coach & probably as a tournament director, we’re used to hearing mainly negative feedback, so it’s nice to hear the positive stuff too from time to time. See you in Chicago

Hi, Mark, I can tell you from the Royal City Kings Pee Wee team that we had a great season. We have had nothing but glowing reviews from our parents about our team and league. The ORHL has given kids an option to OMHA in the Guelph area. We like the focus on school first, and the most relaxed atmosphere. The league play was competitive, but it was a different and more amicable environment than what we had experienced with GMHA. We had a few kids that were ready to quit hockey, and we got them to love hockey again.

Hi, Mark, The team had a great time, thanks for helping us through the registration process. A comment on the referees: We played about 50 games throughout SW Ontario this season and your referees were by far the best we had. Great with the kids, having fun with them during delays, giving them fist bumps after good plays and tips and other encouragement. We saw nothing like that in our regular season this past year; it was awesome, and the kids loved it. Thought it was worth mentioning.

Just thought I would pass along a message on behalf of the families and kids from THE AGONY OF DEFEET.
All had a good time and felt the tournament was well run and organized. The competition was relatively equal across the board, as we had several close games ( except for the final lol) that led to nail bite finishes.

(Really, there is something wrong in the world when the Spring tournaments are uniformly “better” then the tournaments the kids go in during the winter season. Probably don’t need to tell you two this, though…)

Thanks again for hosting us folks here from North Bay. We had a very good weekend in Burlington. Regarding feedback, I spoke to our parents as well as our coaching staff. We were happy that the while we did not make the final, we actually beat both teams that made it to the final during round robin play.

I told your staff at the conclusion of the weekend that we were very pleased with your event. Coming from the States, we are always impressed with your facilities and your well-organized events.
Our scores were extremely close with all the other opponents we faced. They were just a notch above everyone else in the field.

Great job guys. A great experience. The way you organized our division into Tier 1 and 2 playoffs was very smart. Close, exciting semi and final games with teams that were evenly matched. The fanfare around the finals will be remembered forever. Great work!

I talked to all my Pitbulls coach's after last weekend's tournament, and they all had a good time. No complaints.
It was well run again as it was last year and the kids loved it.
You also provided nice hardware for the kids regardless if they won or lost and a nice ceremony after the final game.
