'Doc' is the team founder. He is responsible for administration and team operations. He holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has retired as Emeritus Professor of Psychology at Minnesota State University-Mankato where he served as Director of the Clinical Psychology Program where he trained psychologists in research and clinical practice in Behavioral Medicine. He remains in limited practice at Riverview Clinic in Mankato, MN. He is committed to the educational, personal and social development of his hockey players. In addition to his role with the Ice Hawks, he is an avid traveler and most importantly a full time grandpa of five.

Nancy Fenrick

Chief Financial Officer



Nancy manages the team budget and the event staff on game days. Professionally, Nancy holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and is retired from MSU-Mankato as Emeritus Professor of Psychology: She was active in research and training in the areas of child behavior disorders, fetal alcohol syndrome and developmental disabilities. She recently also retired from private practice at Riverview Clinic, Mankato, MN. Her interest in hockey is rooted in her Canadian upbringing. She followed the ‘Original Six’ growing up in Sault Ste. Marie and Toronto Canada. Nancy is the proud grandmother of Daytin,  Kasota, Colette, Alex and Evan.

Dawn Larson

Housing Director


 

Dawn is the Housing Director for the Ice Hawks. Dawn and her family have been a long time host family for the Ice Hawks. She is a Minnesota native having spent her childhood and young adult years in Wanamingo, MN. Dawn moved to Rochester in 1996. Professionally, Dawn works for the Mayo Clinic. She is married to Van Larson, and has two children, Nick (Jana) and Hunter, a senior in high school.  She also has a new grandson, Owen.

Traci Prindle

Co-Housing Director/Player Coordinator

Traci is the Co-Housing Director/Player Coordinator for the Ice Hawks.   Traci partners with Dawn Larson with the housing needs and is the primary contact for the players throughout the season.  She is responsible for curfew checks, volunteer activities, communications and adherence to the team rules and expectations.   Traci and her family are a long time host family for the Ice Hawks. Professionally, Traci works at Mayo Clinic. She is married to Chris and they have two boys; Alex and Kyle who are active with baseball in the spring and hockey in the winter.

Shawn Hookey

Shawn came to the Ice Hawks during the 2008 season when he and his wife Amber temporarily housed a hockey player in a pinch. From that moment on, they were hooked on the Ice Hawks.  Shawn and his family are a long time housing family for the Ice Hawks.  Shawn is employeed by Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester, in the Ophthalmology department as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.  He is married to Amber, and have 1 son; Aiden.  Shawn assumed the responisibility to maintain and update the website for the 2010-2011 season, and into the future.

Craig Ugland

Charitable Events Coordinator / Head "Nest Keeper"

 
Craig is the new Charitable Events Coordinator. His duties include organizing special game nights including Pink The Rink for Breast Cancer Awareness in October, Military Appreciation Night in November and the Toys For Tots Drive & Toy Toss at all November and December home games. Craig is also the Nest Keeper of the Hawks Nest Booster Club. The Hawks Nest hosts the August Try-Out Camp Picnic for all incoming players and families, billet families, and coaching staff. The Hawks Nest members also organize raffles and other fundraising activities to support the players fund and other local charities. Although the Hawks Nest may get a little rowdy, their hearts are in the right spot, as they serve to advance junior hockey in the Rochester area.

Craig also volunteers his time with the MN Patriot Guard, serving on their Board of Directors, and is a member of the POW/MIA Riders of Minnesota. He and his wife, Aimee, share their home in Rochester with their Weimaraner, Chloe. Professionally, Craig is a Realtor with Edina Realty.

Sandy Marshall

Sandy Marshall joins the Ice Hawks as team photographer. Sandy’s creativity and artist sense led her to photography. Her interest in sports photography began as she worked with her son's youth baseball team. She really enjoyed working in a sports setting and is excited to join the Ice Hawks photography staff. You will never know where Sandy will pop up around the ice! Away from the ice Sandy works as a Special Education Paraprofessional with the Rochester School District. She and her husband, John, have two sons, Jonathan (14) and Adam (12).
