Hatched in September of 2009, Slapshot is the team’s official mascot.  No one knows the exact origin of this giant hawk (aside from the large egg he hatched from), but he has made the Hawks Nest his official home, and he will entertain Ice Hawks fans of all ages.  Slapshot is very excited about skating on the ice before and after every Ice Hawks home game, doing the Cha-Cha Slide, and helping out with the sled race and chuck-a-puck contests between periods.  The energetic bird is always moving through the stands, enthusiastically flapping his wings and cheering.  Slapshot looks forward to seeing you at the REC Center.
