Ice Hawks no match for North Iowa
The North Iowa Bulls continued their dominance in the North American Tier 3 Hockey League, blasting the Rochester Ice Hawks 11-0 on Saturday at the Rochester Recreation Center.
The Bulls finished with a 60-18 edge in shots on goal.
North Iowa scored three times in the first period and pulled away in the second with five more tallies.
Carmen Dalesandro led the Bulls with three goals and three assists.
Kyle Plantz suffered the loss in goal for the Ice Hawks. He had 49 saves on 60 shots.
North Iowa, which is arguably the top team in the country, improved to 35-1-3. The Bulls have wrapped up the NA3HL's Central Division regular-season title.
The Ice Hawks dropped to 10-28-1. They've dropped six consecutive games and return to action Friday at home against the Twin City Steel.
