The 2017 Annual Matthew Fitzgerald Hockey Tournament Family would like to extend an invitation to you to participate in this year’s tournament!
Our Tournament is in its 6th year with proceeds funding a local high school scholarship.
This year we are hosting two divisions of teams:
PeeWee Metro (4 Teams)
Friends & Family Gentlemen Division (6 Teams)
Cost: $600.00 per team
Games: 3 games guaranteed
Location and date: Whitney Pier Rink – December 15-17, 2017
This is a family hosted tournament and we promise will be one of the best tournaments your players will participate in!

The “Fitzy”
A little about our Tournament!
We wanted you to know a little about the tournament and have some background about the hockey player, Matthew Fitzgerald.
Matthew was our son and a valued defenseman of numerous Sydney Minor Hockey teams starting in the Tots program at an early age, and playing his last season in 2012 with the Sydney Steelers Midget B team. He was always very active; between playing hockey, snowboarding at Ben Eion and dirt biking on trails. Matthew lost his life at 15 years old in a tragic motor vehicle accident in May of 2012. This tournament in its sixth year is being held in his honor and for the community that was so greatly affected by his passing.
All money raised from the tournament will be going to the “Matthew Fitzgerald Memorial Scholarship Fund.” The scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating grade 12 high school student pursuing a career in the Trades industry. Every June we present the Matthew Fitzgerald Memorial $2500 Scholarship to a student pursuing a career in the Trades Industry.
Nothing can replace our son but this tournament helps keep his memory alive.

Ettinger-Smith Memorial Tournament 2018 Invite
On behalf of the East Hants Minor Hockey Association, I would like to invite your team to attend our
annual Trevor Ettinger- Jeff Smith Memorial Tournament March 14-18,2018 at the East Hants Sportsplex
in Lantz, NS. This year we will be welcoming teams from the following divisions:
➢ Novice Development March 14-15
➢ Novice Intermediate March 14-15
➢ Female Novice March 14-15
➢ Atom C - March 16-18
➢ PeeWee C - March 16-18
➢ Bantam C - March 16-18
➢ Bantam B –March 16-18
➢ Midget C - March 16-18
Brief Overview (Atom –Midget):
• $850 entry fee
• Each team is guaranteed 3 games.
• There will be Semi-Finals and a Championship game at each division (if a division only has 4
teams total, there will only be a Championship game).
• Championship banner per Division as well as medals for Gold and Silver.
• MVP awards at every game
Brief Overview (Novice including Female Novice):
• $650 Entry fee
• Each team is guaranteed 4 games.
• All players receive a tournament medal and mini-stick.
General Information
• Hospitality room (Hot and Cold foods available)
• 50/50 draws
• No admission
• Free Parking
• Know your game times in advance (round robin format)
• Drink unlimited Gatorade (fees apply)

2017 - 37th Annual SRMH Tournament Sponsored by Port Hawkesbury Paper
The 37th Annual Strait Richmond Minor Hockey Tournament will be played from Feb 18th - March 26th, 2017 at both the Port Hawkesbury Civic Center and Richmond Arena.
All inquiries must be made through the appropriate Division Coordinator. Hospitality suites will be available at both arenas throughout the tournament.

The CBCMHA is holding its Christmas Tournament for the Atom C (Metro) teams on December 27 to 29. Can you please forward this invitation to your respected teams. * Games and Player of the game awards for atom, peewee and midget
* Travel permits required.
* All Rep divisions will be 3 – 12 minute stop time periods. Novice and House divisions will be 3 – 15 minute straight time periods.
* Medals awarded for all Novice players.
* Championship games for Rep divisions will be 3 – 15 minute stop time periods. House will be 3 – 15 minute straight time periods. Gold and Silver medals for 1st and 2nd place teams with the banner will go to the first place team in each division.
* Hockey Nova Scotia rules and regulations will be followed for all games.
* 50/50 tickets will be sold during each game played.
* Hospitality room provided for all teams and their families.
* No admission at the door.
* Registration Deadline: Nov 25th 2016.
* A list of local accommodations and eating establishments will be included in your tournament package.
* No team is guaranteed a spot until payment for the tournament is received and your team roster arrives. At this time you will receive an email with your confirmation, tournament package and schedule.
