Chase came to the Adanacs this summer in a trade (from Maple Ridge) that will greatly enhance the success of the team for many years.  He’s very familiar with lacrosse on Poirier, having played a huge role (no, not just his size) in the success of the Junior Adanacs as three Minto Cup finalists (2012, 2014 and 2015).  A highlight of his minor lacrosse career was playing for the North Shore Midget A2 Provincial Champions.  Chase played 56 regular season Junior A games, scoring 67 goals and 126 assists for a whopping 193 points with 61 PiM, and came through in the clutch in 36 playoff and Minto Cup games with 27 goals and 38 assists for 65 points with 38 PiM (you’ve already done the math in your heads but just in case I’ll present his totals for all 92 games as follows:  94 goals and 164 assists for 258 points, with 99 PiM).  Chase started his WLA career in 2018 with the Burrards, scoring 9 goals and 2 assists for 11 points with 6 PiM in 8 regular season and 2 playoff and Mann Cup games.  The Adanacs were trying to make a deal with the Burrards from the start of this season, but Chase kept screwing it up with two or three goal games, lol; in 8 games with the Burrards before the trade he scored 10 goals with 8 assists for 18 points with 2 PiM; in his first four games with the Senior A Adanacs this season he scored 5 goals and 3 assists for 8 points with 2 PiM.  He’s unstoppable when he plays with confidence in his shot (with the force of a cannon) as well as his great skill and intensity setting picks and breaking down the defense with his strength and mobility.  Chase completed his degree in Business Management at Jacksonville University, and works as a Recreational Programmer.  Not one to sing his own praises, we’ll let his college website do that as follows: “Started his senior year on attack/midfield for head coach Brodie Merrill at the Hill Academy; NALI Champions his senior year. Five-time Provincial Champions with the Coquitlam Adanacs2014 (Freshman): Saw action in 12 games with nine starts. Totaled nine goals, including three on an extra-man opportunity, six ground balls, and two caused turnovers. Scored a goal in his collegiate debut and the Dolphins’ season-opener at No. 3 Duke (Feb. 8). Scored a pair of goals three times, including against Notre Dame (Feb. 16), the Dolphins’ 9-8 victory over Marquette (March 8), and against Air Force (March 15).  2015 (Sophomore): Started all 12 games he appeared in. Led the team with 19 goals and finished third with 22 points. Added nine ground balls. Recorded a career-high five points and two ground balls against Robert Morris (4 goals, 1 assist). Scored at least one point in 9 of 12 games. Posted hat tricks in the first three games of the season against No. 20 Army, St. John’s (NY), and Michigan. Picked up a pair of ground balls on three occasions – in the season-opener against No. 20 Army, against Michigan, and against Robert Morris.  2017 (Junior): Saw action in all 14 games with five starts. Totaled 14 points, 14 ground balls, and caused a pair of turnovers.  Scored a pair of goals, picked up three ground balls, and caused a turnover in the Dolphins’ season-opener against Lehigh.  Recorded a season-high three points and picked up two ground balls at Detroit Mercy. Also caused a turnover in the Dolphins’ SoCon Tournament semifinal against Air Force. Tallied at least one point in 11 of 14 games. Picked up at least one ground balls in 9 of 14 games. 2018 (Senior) 12 games, 3 goals, 5 assists, 8 points, shot % 33.3, 7 ground balls, 6 turnovers forced.”  Oh, and he was a team Captain.  Chase says, “I enjoy everything outdoors – hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, snowboarding, wakeboarding & catching rays also. Big movie guy, any Toy Story movie is always a classic. Enjoy going to music festivals for a variety of music.  My girlfriend is Margot Robbie.”  Asked about the most important influences in his lacrosse career to date, Chase said, “I have had been grateful to have many great coaches, but my dad was my biggest influence in lacrosse.
