John was born here in Coquitlam.  He first played minor lacrosse at age 4 for the Coquitlam Adanacs.  He says, “I was inspired to play lacrosse by my dad Lance.  He got me into lacrosse at a young age and now it is something I love to do.”  He played for Coquitlam all through minor and won a provincial Bantam championship.   He played four seasons with the Coquitlam Junior “A” Adanacs and helped them win the Minto Cup in 2016 and again last year.  His Junior “A” regular season and playoff stats included an astonishing 101 goals and 135 assists for 246 goals in 70 games with 50 PiM – he’s no softie, that’s for sure.  A truly clutch player, John’s 2016 and 2018 Minto Cup stats were 17 goals and 23 assists for 33 points with 2 PiM in 15 games.  John was a Communication major at Seton Hill University while playing lacrosse for 4 years and holds the record for most goals scored by a freshman at Seton Hill, with stats so far including 94 goals and 47 assists for 141 points in 46 games.  Asked about career plans John said, “I want to get on the fire department.”  Current Senior Adanac teammate (and former Minto Cup teammate) Conner Stroup can help with his own experience in parlaying intensive teamwork, athleticism and intelligence into a career with the City of Vancouver Fire Department.  As for other activities and interests, John says, “I love the outdoors, boating or going to the lake in the summer.  I watch a lot of movies and Netflix.  My favorite singer is Elton John.  John concludes, “My dad is definitely my biggest influence for getting me playing lacrosse at a young age.  I wouldn’t be where I am without my dad and my mom.  They are the reason for my success in my life so far and I owe it to them.”
