This is Jaeden’s sixth season with the Adanacs, who felt fortunate to be able to trade for his WLA rights following his rookie season with the Maple Ridge Burrards.  He said at the time, “I am very excited to have been traded to the Adanacs.  I grew up watching so many great players wear the Adanac jersey.  I’m proud to wear the purple and gold.”

Born in New Westminster, he first played lacrosse at age five.  He says, “I grew up in New Westminster where it was the sport to play in the summer”, as many will attest.  He was a member of the minor and Intermediate A Salmonbellies including the Intermediate A provincial champions in 2008.  He played most of his Junior A career with the Burnaby Lakers and was selected as the team captain his third and final year, before he was traded at the deadline to the Langley Junior Thunder.

His Junior A stats included 35 goals and 43 assists for 78 points plus 118 PiM in 54 games.  Jaeden says “I met a lot of good people playing in Burnaby and Langley who helped make me the player I am today.”  Jaeden was drafted 44th overall in the 2012 NLL Entry Draft by the Colorado Mammoth and played 7 games for the Mammoth in 2013, scoring a goal and two assists with no PiM and 17 loose balls retrieved.

Athletic, intelligent, hard-working and a natural leader, Jaeden enriches the Adanacs with his invaluable experience, focus and intensity.  His WLA career has been beset by injuries, but his commitment to the sport and his teammates knows no bounds.  His WLA stats through last season included 6 goals (including a game-winner last summer) and 15 assists plus 36 PiM in 12 games.  Quick on his feet, strong and a tenacious checker, he is a leader on defense and transition.

Jaeden also enjoys working out, playing ice hockey, travelling, and cooking. He says, “My favourite food is steak and my mother’s risotto.”  He likes most movie genres; his favorite films are “The Godfather” and “Miracle”.  He also enjoys reading and adds, “I’m always listening to music.  I can pretty much listen to any music except country!”  Jaeden says, “The people most influential in my lacrosse career have been my parents, who convinced me to keep playing when I considered quitting lacrosse.  They have always made lacrosse a priority in our household.  I never would have become the player or person I am today without their help”.
